Apple has been sued for patents related to Apple Watch heart rate sensors?

Apple is facing a lawsuit called Omni MedSci, which claims that the Apple Watch heart rate sensor patent infringes its patented technology.

Omni MedSci claims to have met with Apple from 2014 to 2016, but the discussion on cooperation has not progressed. So they filed a lawsuit in Texas asking for a lock-up order for Apple-related products and asking them to pay for the damage.

This patent litigation is common in the United States. The Omni MedSci company is owned by Mohammed Islam, which owns six companies and holds several patents in optics and laser technology. His patent holding company Cheetah Omni Lawsuits have been filed against companies including Fujitsu, Alcatel-Lucent, Huawei, Nokia and Siemens. The company was described in 2015 as a “typical patent company” by a Detroit news website.
