Bulldozer FX series has begun mass production in October final release

The Swedish website NodicHardware received more reliable information from AMD’s internal employees today. Bulldozer-architectured FX series processors have finally begun mass production and are expected to be released in October.

As for the exact release time, this is not even AMD's own grasp, but just hope that it can be launched within 4-5 weeks. The ban on the NDA confidentiality agreement circulated on the Internet today is October 13, but it does not seem to be very reliable.

The processor on the bottom of this system is the highest-end eight-core FX-8150, clocked at 3.6GHz, Turbo Core's dynamic acceleration at 4.2GHz, and uses a pirate ship's water-cooled cooling system.

The test conducted two simple projects. The SuperPI 1M took 20.992 seconds, which is not ideal, but after all, this is not AMD's long term, and the bulldozer's architecture design is not suitable for such a single-threaded project.

The wPrime 32M score is 15.815 seconds, but this is obviously wrong, only slightly faster than the A6-3650 and slower than the A8-3850. Is the software too old? Stepping older? BIOS is not perfect? No one knows this.

AMD still said that the FX series will be the fastest retail processor.
