EU warns Chinese bear light nightlight
On November 21, 2008, the European Commission's Non-Food Rapid Alert System (RAPEX) issued a consumer warning to the Chinese-made Prezent bears. The notified country in this case is Slovenia. Samples were sent in blue, green and orange bears, and the bar code codes were 8586007087982, 8586007087999 and 8586007088002. The appearance of the night light is a teddy bear. The nameplate is marked with a power of 1.5W, a voltage of 230V, a frequency of 50Hz, and a CE mark. The outer packaging of the product is a blister box with a cardboard attached and instructions for use in Slovak, Czech, Polish and English.
There is a risk of leakage of this product: (1) The shape does not match the plug size. (2) The casing is not fixed with special screws. (3) The clearance and creepage distance are lower than the standard. (4) The switch does not meet the requirements. This product does not comply with the European Union's Low Voltage Electrical Appliance Directive and the relevant standard EN60598.
Currently, the Slovenian government has ordered the sale of the goods, withdrawing them from the market and recalling the goods that have already been sold.
