1. Introduction

The filter element origami machine is used to process the paper folding of various automobile air-conditioning filters and gasoline filters. The equipment is easy to operate and fast in folding speed. The equipment is also equipped with paper humidification and drying processes to ensure the toughness of the paper and has low requirements for paper quality. The operator can also set the number of folds freely, and output the mark after the count is reached, which is convenient for manual cutting in the later stage.

2. Process requirements

The equipment is mainly divided into crimping sub-shaft, paper pulling shaft and folding shaft. Depending on the diameter of the filter element to be processed, the height and number of pleats on the crimping shaft (please: the paper needs to be rolled with two rollers before folding to facilitate the folding of the folder). The height and the number of pleats are also different. The roller on the crimping shaft needs to be replaced manually according to the crease. The change in the diameter of the drum and the change in the height of the crease cause other working axis speeds to be matched according to a certain ratio.

Three, the plan

The control system mainly adopts the dimensional control man-machine interface LEVI-700LK, and the PLC host adopts LX3V-1412MT. The crimping shaft and the paper pulling shaft are controlled by a frequency converter. The crimping shaft adds an encoder to measure the speed, and the panel potentiometer gives a frequency. The frequency of the paper pulling shaft is obtained by the speed measurement of the crimp shaft encoder, and is given by the MODBUS communication. The folding shaft uses a stepping motor, adopts pulse + direction control, and the frequency can reach up to 200KHZ. The heating part uses a temperature control instrument to set the temperature.

Control points:

The speed relationship between M0 axis and M1 axis—equipment as shown in the figure below. Use the potentiometer of the external panel to adjust the speed with M0 as the main shaft, and the M1 axis accelerates as the linear speed of the M0 axis increases. During normal operation, the M0 and M1 axis maintain the same linear speed, but at the beginning of the startup, the M1 linear speed is slightly faster than that of the M0 axis (otherwise it will cause the paper to be not tight and affect the appearance of the product). By adjusting the M0 and M1 axis The acceleration and deceleration time of the inverter can solve this problem.

The speed relationship between M0 axis and M2 axis-as shown in the figure below. When the M2 shaft leaves the factory, the folding shaft is equipped with 12 folding teeth and is fixed. The running speed of the M2 axis is calculated from the fold height and the number of folds of the M0 axis. Knowing the pleat height, fold number and running speed of the M0 axis, it can be calculated how many pleats are pressed per second, and then it can be calculated that the M2 axis needs to rotate several pleat heights per second, and finally converted to the operating frequency of M2.

Five, project summary

1. The equipment is mainly adjusted through the program to obtain the matching linear speed. Previously, the equipment relied on pure mechanical gears to adjust the linear speed. When replacing the crimping shaft, the operator had to replace the entire set of transmission gears. In contrast, PLC control has the advantages of strong flexibility, cost saving, convenient debugging, low mechanical noise, and high production efficiency.

2. In the program, commands such as communication commands, high pulse output commands, high-speed counting commands, and timing interrupts have been reached. After time has passed, the maintenance and control PLC is reliable and stable, and the programming is simple and easy to learn.
