However, Professor Huang Dexiu of Huazhong University of Science and Technology and National Photoelectric Laboratory said that some LED street lighting effects installed on the road are not obvious, which may be the cause of lighting design. It does not mean that LEDs are not suitable for street lamps. The solution is to add a diffusing plate to the lampshade to polarize and illuminate, so that the illumination range and luminosity curve of the LED meet the lighting requirements.
Dong Zhijiang, general manager of Wuhan Diyuan Optoelectronics Technology Co., Ltd. said that it is advisable to use LED as a street light. The advantage lies in high luminous efficiency, energy saving and low power consumption. The average life expectancy is 100,000 hours, which is dozens of times that of ordinary lamps. Some LED street lights are not working well. It may be that light scattering occurs on the surface of the phosphor particles used in the LED sealing process, which reduces the light extraction efficiency. The solution is to incorporate nano-phosphor in silica gel to increase the refractive index, reduce light scattering, and arrange a focusing lens on the surface of the chip to improve the light efficiency.
