Up to 8 modules (except the CPU) can be installed on a single PCB of Mitsubishi, as shown in the figure below. When all the slots on the PLC substrate are installed with modules, the addresses of the modules can be determined in turn according to the actual I/O of the module. However, as shown in the following figure, when there are reserved slots between modules, I do not know the number of I/O points reserved for reserved slots (32 points, 64 points or 128 points?), therefore, reserved slots The address of the post module cannot be determined.
At this time, it is necessary to set the number of points occupied by the reserved slot in the PLC parameters. Methods as below:
1. Double-click "Parameters" → "PLC Parameters" in the Project Manager.
2. In the pop-up "Parameter Settings" window, click the "I/O Assignment" tab.
In this window, you can set the number of I/O points occupied by each slot module, and of course, the number of points occupied by the reserved slot, as shown in slot 3 in the figure.
The descriptions are as follows:
â— Type selects the type of module installed in the slot. If the module is not installed, select the "Empty" item.
â— The type name can have an identifying name for the installed module.
â—Points Select the number of I/O points occupied by the installed modules.
