Abstract: This paper introduces the Can Calibration Protocol, which is widely used in online calibration. Based on this protocol, an online calibration system for a hybrid vehicle battery controller (BCU) is designed. Set the corresponding parameters of the BCU to achieve real-time monitoring of battery status, adjustment of BCU and vehicle performance.
1 Introduction
In a hybrid vehicle, the battery management system is responsible for monitoring the battery status, ensuring battery safety, and more importantly, estimating the charge and discharge power that the battery can provide in real time, providing an important basis for the vehicle's energy distribution control strategy. Therefore, the battery status measured by the battery management system, including battery voltage, temperature, current, and estimated parameters, such as SOC, SOH, can provide real-time monitoring of the charge and discharge power, and the parameters required for the estimation algorithm need to be based on the actual vehicle test. The results are modified, so a convenient and reliable way to achieve real-time monitoring and online calibration is required. Traditional SCI serial communication monitoring and calibration methods have the disadvantages of slow communication rate, inconsistent protocol, and poor scalability. Compared to the serial-based calibration system, the *-based calibration system has several distinct advantages:
(1) Based on CAN bus communication, the calibration speed is fast;
(2) The readable and readable ECU has a large memory range;
(3) Flash erasing and programming are possible;
(4) It can calibrate, test and diagnose multiple ECUs at the same time.
The author designed a calibration protocol based on the * protocol for the HEV Power System BCU to achieve on-line calibration and real-time monitoring.
2 * Introduction
2.1 Establishing a connection
The ECU calibration based on the * protocol uses master-slave communication, and the master device is connected to multiple slave devices via the CAN bus, as shown in Figure 1. The main equipment measurement calibration system is MCS (Measurement Calibration System), and the slave device is the ECU to be calibrated, here is the BCU.
