The function of the static eliminator is to generate a large amount of positive and negative charges by air ionization, and to blow out positive and negative charges by a fan. A positive and negative charge is formed to neutralize the charge on the surface of the object. When the surface of the object is negatively charged, it attracts a positive charge in the airflow. When the surface of the object is positively charged, it attracts a negative charge in the current, so that the static electricity on the surface of the object is neutralized. Eliminate the purpose of static electricity.

The static eliminator consists of a high-voltage power generator and a discharge electrode. The high-voltage corona discharge is used to ionize the air into a large amount of positive and negative ions to neutralize the static electricity on the surface of the object.

When the discharge is extremely negative, the electrons are repelled, protons are attracted and neutralized, and eventually a large amount of negative ions are generated.

Due to different corona discharge generation methods, static eliminators are mainly classified into the following types:

>>AC corona products

The AC high voltage generator raises the 220V input voltage to 7KV-10KV, and the discharge electrode alternates into a positive voltage and a negative voltage at a frequency of 50Hz. A strong electric field is generated between the discharge electrode and the ground electrode, the air molecules are ionized, and the positive and negative ions are alternately generated at the tip of the discharge electrode. When the surface of a charged object is at a positive potential, the negative ions will neutralize. Conversely, if the surface is at a negative potential, the positive ions will neutralize.

The AC corona product must be grounded to work properly, but some positive and negative ions will be directed to the earth due to grounding, so the neutralization electrostatic capacity is slightly worse, but the structure is simple, the positive and negative ion balance is good, and the price is economical.

The DC high voltage generator raises the input voltage of 220V and outputs positive voltage and negative voltage respectively. A strong electric field is generated between the positive and negative discharge electrodes, the air molecules are ionized, positive ions are generated at the tip of the positive discharge electrode, and negative ions are generated at the tip of the negative discharge electrode. Negative ions are simultaneously generated to neutralize the surface of the object. When the surface of the charged object is positive, the negative ions will neutralize. Conversely, if the surface is negative, the positive ions will neutralize.

DC corona products can generate positive and negative ions without grounding. The positive and negative ions acting on the surface of the object are sufficient, and the static electricity is neutralized very quickly.

>>Pulse DC Corona Products

The pulsed DC high voltage generator raises the input voltage of 220V and alternately outputs positive and negative voltages on the discharge electrode in a cycle of 4-6 seconds, thereby alternately generating positive and negative ions. When the surface of the charged object is positive, the negative ions will be And, conversely, if the surface is at a negative potential, the positive ions will neutralize.

Since the switching period of the pulsed DC positive and negative ions is 200-300 times longer than that of the power frequency AC static eliminator, there is no self-neutralization of the positive and negative ions, and the positive and negative ions are lost without grounding, and the distance can be adjusted according to the distance of the electrostatic object to be removed. The conversion cycle, the distance is long, the conversion period can be long, and the time can be short when the distance is close. The pulsed direct current static eliminator can achieve a very long working distance without the fan.
