LED Engin announces the use of narrow beam lenses and emitter groups

As a leader in the industry of high lumen density LED products, LED Engin has announced a new technology to introduce two low-angle total internal reflection high-efficiency lenses on its high-throughput LuxiGen LZC and LZP sources. These 8 and 15 degree lenses are specially designed for use in LED Engin's high flux products. This new invention allows high brightness LED arrays to be replaced by a single LED source and lens, reducing the size of the source system. At least 50% or more, with good beam shape controllability.

This total internal reflection lens optimizes LED illumination, making light more efficient and beam-controlled, maximizing the available lumen output in the target area. At the same time, it also provides a lot of strokes necessary for new lighting applications, so that the light is evenly dispersed, avoiding the drawbacks of light flickering. The 8-degree wide lens, combined with the LZC transmitter with multi-color RGB, RGBA and RGBW, produces efficient dynamic color mixing for a wide range of applications in entertainment and architectural lighting. When paired with a white light LZC or LZP series transmitter, it can replace a 35 watt metal halide lamp with a service life of over 50,000 hours.

For an 8 degree lens plus an LZC emitter, the efficiency is 12 cd/lm, while the 15 degree lens plus LZP emitter has an efficiency of 8 cd/lm. A combination of a lens and a transmitter, the center beam can be up to 36800 cd. These lenses are made of optical grade plexiglass, which is easy to process and can be easily attached to LED Engin's LuxiGen board, which has great industry prospects.
