At TI, we understand that ADB solutions will have a subversive potential for the future of the automotive industry. Therefore, we combine the in-depth expertise of automotive technology with the pioneering technology of TI DLP® technology to develop a new generation of headlamp systems that are not limited to emitting light in a certain direction.
I believe we can bring more additional features to the way the vehicle illuminates the road ahead. TI is currently developing a new fully programmable headlamp system solution with extremely high resolution and more than 1 million addressed pixels per headlight, compared to existing ADB technology. The rate is 10,000 times higher.
With TI DLP technology, developers can create lighting solutions that can be programmed to perform operations such as bullets and animations, or to convert beams to bend curved hills and roads. Developers can also develop solutions that dim some or all of the pixels, so that the driver can always turn on the high beam when driving under any conditions without affecting other drivers.
Most importantly, thanks to the flexibility of DLP technology, these headlamps can be illuminated with LEDs or laser sources, using less power in the same coverage as existing ADB solutions.
