Taiwan factory Zhongqiang Optoelectronics, Ruiyi, and Fuxiang released their August revenue results
Recently, Taiwan's backlight module manufacturers Zhongqiang Optoelectronics (5371), Ruiyi (6176) and AU Optronics (2409)'s Fuxiang (6120) successively released their August 2010 revenue results.
Zhongqiang Optoelectronics' revenue in August was about 8.777 billion Taiwan dollars, a slight decrease of 1% from July and 25% from August 2009. From January to August 2010, the total revenue was 64.518 billion yuan, an increase of 45%.
China Optoelectronics was affected by factors such as the slowdown in monitor Monitor and NB notebook computer panels, as well as panel customers adjusting inventory. The total shipment of backlight module products in August was approximately 6.55 million, down 12% monthly. However, its revenue decreased by only 2% compared with July, mainly due to the increase in shipments of high-priced TV TV backlight modules by 16% from the previous month, and the increase in shipment penetration of LED backlight models, driving the average unit price of the overall backlight module to rise.
China Optoelectronics shipped 1.07 million TV backlight modules in August, and the penetration rate of LED models was 35%. The monitor monitor backlight module shipments were 2.81 million pieces, and the LED model penetration rate reached 40%. The shipment of NB backlight modules is about 2.58 million, and the penetration rate of LED backlight NB models is 90%.
Ruiyi expanded its cooperation with Korean customers and expanded its orders to European and American manufacturers. Its August revenue reached NT$4.22 billion, a monthly increase of 1.94%, an annual increase of 13.4%, and a total revenue of January to August 2010. 30.391 billion yuan, an increase of 27.9%.
Ruiyi's NB backlight module (including LCM) shipped 4.61 million units, an increase of 11% per month, accounting for 51% of revenue. Among them, the shipment of large-size LED NB backlight modules is about 2.4 million.
In August, Fuxiang's revenue was NT$2,317 million, a 6.3% increase, an increase of 15.2% year-on-year. From January to August 2010, the accumulated revenue reached NT$16.642 billion, an increase of 36% over the same period in 2009.
