Nantai University of Science and Technology “LED Street Light Control System” won the Gold Award at the Geneva International Invention Exhibition

At the 39th International Invention Exhibition held in Geneva, Switzerland, 82 pieces of exhibited works from Taiwan won 42 gold, 34 silver, and 5 bronze. Among them, the research team of teacher Wei Zhaohuang of the Department of Electrical Engineering of Nantai University of Science and Technology developed the "LED street light control system" and won the gold medal.

The research team of Wei Zhaohuang of the Department of Electrical Engineering of Nantai University of Science and Technology has developed the “LED street light control system” as a novel LED street light control system. The control system can control individual LED street lights to turn on and off or change the lighting color via a central controller. For example, The fog section is changed from white light to yellow light, or marked with red flash on dangerous road sections. Individual LED street light control modules can also adjust the light brightness according to the surrounding lighting conditions to save energy consumption.

In addition, Nantai University of Science and Technology's "optical connectors for humanized optical lenses used in projectors" and "pointing components" won the Gold Award and the Polish Invention Association Special Award respectively. At the same time, Nantai University of Science and Technology also won a silver medal for its “3-axis optical measuring probe with coaxial beam”, “internal spray-type shell-and-tube heat exchanger” and “pool table with built-in trajectory records”.
