Ubisoft may be developing "Assassin's Creed" VR version from Baidu VR

"Assassin's Creed" is one of Ubisoft's housekeeping IP games and has a worldview setting that is very suitable for VR games. With the continuous development of VR technology and heads-up, many people may have the same question as VR Jun: Can we possibly play Assassin's Creed on VR?

According to Foreign Media's UploadVR report, Ubisoft's Paris-based UI and user experience designer Matt Stenquist recently uploaded a few images on a design site, Dribbble. These images show that Ubisoft may be developing VR versions of Assassin's Creed internally. According to Xiaobian, this internal project is produced using the Unreal Engine 4 and is developed for the HTC Vive and Oculus Rift platforms. According to the designer's description, this is an "Assassin's Creed" escape game and supports multiplayer mode.

Here we take a look at a few related pictures uploaded by Stenquist.

The first picture shows the game's logo, although we didn't see the subtitles.

The second picture is the icon for some games. Some of these Stenquist felt a bit out of date and have not yet achieved the best optimization of VR.

Below is a partial display of the menu UI:

The last of these Icons is some of the logos that the game interacts with.

According to UploadVR's speculation, even if the game is real development, it may not be so soon to meet with players. Ubisoft may only try it internally. However, this is not easy to say, because Ubisoft showed the prototype of the “Eagle Fly” at E3 in 2015, but soon Ubisoft confirmed that it was a complete game to be released. Therefore, the VR version of Assassin's Creed is not impossible.

However, even if this internal project is implemented, the final version of the game should be very different from the third-person, open-world Assassin's Creed series. It was also mentioned above that this would be a room escape game, and this type is also more popular in VR games.

Furthermore, everyone also knows that there are a lot of derivative works in Assassin's Creed, such as the Assassin's Creed movie that will be released nationwide on February 24, 2017. The movie has not yet been released, but the VR experience has long appeared at the TGA conference on December 1, 2016.

Therefore, Ubisoft really developed a VR game based on "Assassin's Creed" IP. Xiao Bian felt that it was also very possible.
