The heat transfer problems of thermocouple conductors and bushings may cause measurement errors. To reduce this effect, the following points should be noted.
1. Insert depth requirement
The measuring end should have sufficient insertion depth so that the measuring end of the protective sleeve is 5 to 10 mm beyond the center line of the pipe.
2. Insertion direction requirements
Ensure that the temperature measuring element is in full contact with the fluid, preferably in the direction of the flow of the measured medium. It can be orthogonal to 90°, but do not form a downstream flow with the measured medium, as shown in Figure 2â€.
3. Thermocouple selection requirements
If the measured object is small in volume and heat capacity is not large, metal sleeves should be used as much as possible, and fine-diameter thermocouple wires should be used.
