Lighting developer Mouser buys a variety of Bivar products
Mouser Electronics, known for its rapid introduction of new products, today announced a global distribution agreement with Bivar, a leading developer of optical equipment, assembly hardware and solid state lighting.
Mouser has purchased a variety of Bivar products, including industrial lighting, discrete light-emitting diodes (LEDs), tubes, pedestals and fixtures, PCB packaging and assembly products.
Michael Finn, vice president of strategic business development at Bivar, said that Mouser is focused on meeting the needs of design engineers and accelerating the introduction of new products, thus creating an extremely effective way for Bivar to launch our range of engineering lighting products. It is great to extend our online technology to global engineering through Mouser.
Mike Scott, vice president of active products at Mouser, said: "I am very pleased to have Bivar's optoelectronic products in place for our engineering customers to use for new project design. We expect to open up new customers and expand the market penetration of optoelectronic products by implementing various innovative marketing programs.
Scott said that the signing of a distribution agreement with Bivar is in line with Mouser's business model for the rapid introduction of new products and technologies to further enhance Mouser's time-to-market advantage to meet its design engineering customer needs.
